About the department
State Police own the highways. Troopers run high-visibility traffic enforcement, manage major collisions, and lead pursuit operations that cross jurisdictional lines.
This is the most discipline-heavy law enforcement department in the community. State expects polished radio work and strict policy adherence, so it is generally recommended after some experience in PD or Sheriff.
