County-wide service, community first.
Fox River County Sheriff's Office
County law enforcement covering unincorporated areas, rural roads, corrections, and civil process — plus mutual aid to city units.

About the department
The Sheriff's Office patrols the county outside city limits: rural highways, outlying properties, and the areas PD does not cover. Deputies work with more independence and longer response times than city officers, which makes the role a good fit for members who enjoy self-directed patrol.
Deputies also handle corrections, prisoner transport, civil process, and court security, and routinely provide mutual aid on major city incidents.

Divisions
Specialist assignments held alongside your rank — a Sergeant in a division is still a Sergeant. Divisions open applications periodically and usually require a minimum rank and a clean record.
Certifications
Qualifications that authorize specific duties. You earn these through training, and they gate what you are permitted to do on scene.
