About the department
Dispatchers run the call queue, assign units across every department, and maintain the live picture of who is where and doing what. If you like coordination and multitasking over field roleplay, this is the most impactful seat in the community.
Communications is also the most technically demanding department in the CAD — dispatchers work the full call queue, monitor every radio channel simultaneously, and drive the live unit map.
What you will do
- Creating and assigning calls with appropriate priority levels
- Tracking status for every on-duty unit across all departments
- Monitoring all radio channels simultaneously
- Running name and plate lookups on request
- Coordinating multi-department responses to major incidents
